World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock - Giant 150kg Cuckoo | Black Forest Germany | Europe To The Maxx
The world’s largest cuckoo clock can be found deep in Germany’s Black Forest. Measuring 4.5 by 4.5 meters, it runs just like a regular cuckoo clock. The giant cuckoo housed inside the massive timepiece weighs some 150 kg. During the early 19th century, one of three clocks in the entire world was made here: in the small town of Triberg. To this day it remains the birthplace of most of the authentic Black Forest cuckoo clocks that are spread throughout the world.Euromaxx reporter Hendrik Welling took a trip to the Black Forest to find out how the clocks are made, and how the cuckoos got involved in the first place!#CuckooClock #BlackForest #EuropeToTheMaxx--------------------------------Subscribe to DW Euromaxx: youtube.com/dweuromaxxWould you like to find out more about Euromaxx? ▸Website: www.dw.com/lifestyle▸Facebook: facebook.com/dw.euromaxx▸Instagram: instagram.com/dw_euromaxxDW Euromaxx brings you engaging insights into European cultures and lifestyles.
